Leave
A Legacy
YOU can make a difference in the lives that follow!
Harry Dietert did. Not only did he establish the
Dietert Center, but he also left an endowment for the center
to support its on-going operations. Mr. Dietert’s gift to
the center keeps on giving - income from that endowment helps us
pay the bills to this very day!
Make a lasting gift to your favorite charity through
a planned gift or bequest. You don’t have to be wealthy. Any
gift—large or small—will make a difference.

TEN
STEPS TO LEAVE YOUR LEGACY – and make a difference!
1)
Prepare a will so that your wishes about your property will be protected
at your death.
2)
Evaluate your financial situation and determine your charitable
goals.
3)
Consult an attorney, accountant or financial advisor about tax-friendly
options for making a legacy gift.
4)
Choose one or more organizations that have made a difference in
your life and leave a gift in your will.
5)
Contact the organization(s) of your choice to learn about opportunities
for legacy giving.
6)
Leave a percentage or specific dollar amount of the assets in your
will to a charity of your choice.
7)
Consider using non-cash assets (real estate, vehicles, art, jewelry,
other personal property of value) for your legacy gift.
8)
Name a charity as a beneficiary of your IRA, pension plan, CD or
life insurance policy.
9)
Remember deceased loved ones with a memorial gift to a charity.
10)
Encourage family and friends to leave gifts to charities in their
wills.
