SUPPORT DIETERT CENTER
Through Charitable Giving

“Improving the life of Kerr County Seniors”

Founded in 1969 by engineer, inventor and businessman Harry Dietert, the Dietert Center is the only non-profit organization in Kerr County dedicated exclusively to helping older people.

We are a volunteer-driven, community based organization that provides a wide variety of professional support services and recreational opportunities that help men and women maintain active, independent lives in their senior years.

Your Gift to the Dietert Center can:

Provide meals for frail, elderly shut-ins who are not able to shop or cook for themselves;
Provide care coordination for those who need help with emergency response devices, or medical equipment lending.
Provide rest and respite for families who care for loved ones with Alzheimer’s or dementia-related disorders.
Provide information and referral services.
Support low-cost lunches in our dining room.
Support educational, creative and entertaining activities that enrich the lives of area seniors.
Support meaningful volunteer opportunities.

Help maintain our new facility.
Help perpetuate important services for our entire senior community!

Your tax-deductible, charitable donation to the Dietert Center touches countless lives by supporting healthy, productive aging. Few contributions have the power to reach so many whose need is so great.

PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE:
No one wants to think about a future that involves immobility, dependence and helplessness. While some precautions can be taken early in life to avoid these kinds of problems, no one is immune to the challenges of aging. Many of today’s seniors did not expect to be confronted with dwindling incomes, increasing medical problems and rising living expenses.

Communities must come together to protect our citizens at risk!

According to the 2000 Kerr County Census, residents aged 60 and older make up nearly 31% of the entire population. More than 5,500 of these folks are age 75 and older! As the only non-profit organization dedicated solely to serving this vital – and growing - segment of our population, your gift to the Dietert Senior Center will help sustain and develop the specialized services needed by our elders of today and tomorrow.
